In a break between storm and tempest, before the exodus to their personal Ararats the good people of Combe village braved the vengeance of the gods to participate in their annual village fete. Cancelling the "bouncy castle" and probably the "pony rides" the numbers appeared down. Dave, our local MP, had taken up residence at centre court to watch a Scotsman "lose for Britain", but he had donated a raffle prize.
Photographs of people at play, more to come.
